Goal
To increase awareness about psychological defense mechanisms.
Key concept
Defenses help to satisfy a conscious need, but interfere with the satisfaction of an unconscious one. They can explain why we sometimes do things, we normally would not.

Results
I spoke to people and asked them how they understand the illustrations they see. Without text descriptions. In each iteration, I made changes to the illustrations until there was no major misunderstanding. I even consulted with a psychologist, who was my previous design client, and she confirmed that illustrations serve as a decent representation of the concepts.
